Tecomanthe dendrophylla cv. ‘Shannon’ is a member of the Bignoniaceae family and is native to Australia.
Tecomanthe dendrophylla cv. ‘Shannon’ has magnificent colour in its finger like flowers that hang in bunches of up to 10 flowers per bunch. Its native habitat (Tecomanthe dendrophylla species) is New Guinea and was hybridised in Australia. It is a rare plant and difficult to find.
It requires either a trellis, pergola or a post to grow on. Shannon likes full sun to light shade.
The flowers are absolutely magnificent with bunches of flowers up and down the old wood as well as the new growth.
