This chocolate vine is semi-deciduous with dark green leaves that have blue-green undersides and tinged purple in winter. The flowers appear in mid spring and are much longer than A.quinata and are deliciously fragrant. Each individual flower is cup shaped and purple-mauve coloured. SOILS: The vine will enjoy most soil types but prefers well drained moisture retentive soil. PLANTING: Dig the hole twice the size of the pot and plant level with the surrounding soil. CARE: Prune after flowering and this will provide control and shape. Fertilise after pruning and mulch well to conserve water.
ENJOY THIS RARE VINE!
