DOMBEYA TILIACEA
The Dombeya tiliacea syn. D. nataliensis is a hardy deciduous, small tree with dark, heart-shaped, textured leaves and dark fissured bark. The large 25 mm diameter sweetly scented pure white flowers are carried in clusters from autumn & winter. This tree is fabulous to see with its masses of pure white flowers.
It will, if allowed, grows to around 5 metres. The Forest Wild Pear, its common name, is frost hardy and drought resistant and is a great semi-deciduous tree and although it has large leaves they are thinly textured.
