Maurandia erubescens is a member of the Scrophulariaceae family and is native to United States and Mexico.
This climber has rich pink elongated flowers (70 mm) that appear in mid spring and have a long flowering period.
It likes more water in the hotter months and very little in the cooler months.
It will climb by tendrils and in warmer areas might need a little shade. It is well suited to hanging baskets or a lattice frame or just climbing through other plants if you wish.
It will tolerate most soils as long as they are well drained but will not tolerate any frost.
