TRICYRTIS FORMOSANA STOLONIFERA – TOAD LILY
Tricyrtis formosana stolonifera is a member of the Liliaceae family and are native to South Eastern Asia.
It is unusual and a beautiful pink with purple spots and has a yellow throat and a red stigma. It flowers at the end of summer through autumn. It would put a lot of orchids to shame.
It forms clumps of light green leaves with dark green spots and is supported by long red stems. It is a native perennial to forest areas of Taiwan. It takes cold conditions and likes moist well drained soil in full shade to part shade, however it will be OK in full sun and this will allow it to flower earlier.
It is nicely suited to hanging baskets also
