Gloriosa rothchildiana is a member of the Liliaceae family and is a native of the jungles of Africa and is the national flower of Zimbabwe.
It is what the name proclaims ‘glorious’ flowers and very showy. The flowers are red and yellow with yellow stamens and appear in late spring through to autumn and depending on climate will become semi to deciduous.
It grows to around 1.5 to 1.8 metres and will do well in full sun or partial shade.
