California Geranium is a hard to find plant and comes from Mexico.
Senecio petasitis likes a semi-shaded or morning sun and slightly moist but not wet position.
It flowers best in autumn and spot flowers at other times if conditions are right
It gives a great show over a long period and grows to around 2 metres with a nicely rounded shape, it is tough and reliable when established.
The leaves have a lovely Geranium fragrance to the touch.
It can stand temperatures down to 6 degrees C.
