Bauhinia variegata ‘Candida’ is a member of the Fabiaceae family and a native of India.
Bauhinia variegata ‘Candida’ is a sensational orchid tree that bears masses of large flowers winter through spring and some flowering in summer. The flowers also have some fragrance.
It is fast growing to around 10 metres and is a great shade tree. It likes full sun but will do well in part shade, the type of soil should be sandy as it is drought tolerant but is not too fussy.
