Description
HOYA ARNOTTIANA IML 0217
Hoya arnottiana is native to India and Nepal and is a member of the Apocynaceae family.
It has yellow flowers (when the weather is cool) to white flowers (but fade to white in hot weather) with an orange calyx and a moderate fragrance. It usually has 15 to 25 flowers in each umbel.
It has nice leaves that are up to 125mm long and 50mm wide. It is easy to grow and is fast growing strong vine and quickly becomes a nice, full hanging basket plant.
Hoya arnottiana is well suited to cooler climates as it is native to the Himalayan region of India and Nepal but is adaptable to warmer areas. This Hoya is more prone to having black dots on the leaves in hot/humid climates, these black spots do not affect the plants health.
INDOORS: Most Hoya are well suited to hanging baskets or ladders and can be grown indoors under pot culture in a warm position but flowering is sometimes difficult.
SOILS: The vine will enjoy most soil types but prefers well drained gravelly soils, moist but not wet, warm but frost free above 4 degrees. PLANTING: Dig the hole twice the size of the pot and plant level with the surrounding soil. Mounding can help with wetter soils.
ENJOY THIS FABULOUS HOYA!
