Clerodendrum buchananii is a member of the Verbenaceae family and is native to Indonesia and Fiji.
It is a quick growing shrub to about 2 metres x 1 metre and a little rangy in growth but with a light prune regularly or a large prune after it flowers it can be kept tidy.
The flowers are red – orange in colour in terminal panicles, it is evergreen with heart shaped leaves.
It likes to be in either full sun or part shade with well-drained soil that is moisture retentive, it does not like frost or boggy conditions.
