Clusia ornotheura is a member of the Clusiaceae family and originates from Northern South America.
It is an evergreen broad leaf shrub that grows 1.2 – 2.4 metres and is around 4.5 metres high.
The showy flowering period is autumn through to summer with beautiful red/pink porcelain like flowers.
It likes partial shade, well drained soils and medium water requirements and will not tolerate frost.
It is a useful house plant with access to a bright filtered window.
